The Danish company Mammoet Wind, based in Brande, uses the technology from Oppenau for the transport of wind turbine parts.
With the help of a DOLL self-steering trailer Mammoet Wind transported the world’s longest wind turbine blade. The vehicle train with the attached blade – 83,50 m in length – had a total lenght of 95 m.
The blade was transported from the danish city of Funen over 130 km to Esbjerg. After the arrival in Bremerhaven the blade was transported another 600 m with the help of our self-steering trailer. It was reloaded on a ship and shipped to the place where the wind turbines are located.
