Armour Mobility Specialist TSS International BV has been further developing its products for heavily armoured security vehicles.
In February, it successfully road-tested its newest generation of heavy-duty runflat systems for extra heavy loads, against FINABEL standards (100km with flat tyre) under a 1,400kg wheel load.
A 50km/h runflat test with a 1,800kg payload was also satisfactorily completed under the supervision and guidance of ATP in Papenburg, Germany.
All 18in TSS heavy-duty wheel rims, available in two designs with 1,600kg and 2,000kg payloads (TüV-certified), for SUVs and 4x4s will be delivered with this new BPX Runflat, which replaces the highly successful APX Runflat that has been in service since 2010.
TSS will be able to deliver this runflat in its TSS Heavy-Duty Wheel Assemblies: ready-to-use, balanced wheels for commercial armoured vehicles such as the Toyota LC200, Nissan Patrol, Chevrolet Suburban, Mercedes G-Wagen and many more.
In addition to this development, TSS also has a range extender diesel tank for Toyota LC200’s, allowing the vehicle to carry an additional 145l of fuel. This range extender can also be converted to a TSS ProtecTank® by adding a self-sealing and flame-retardant coating.
The range extender further completes TSS’ product range, adding to a complete package of high-quality mobility products for armoured vehicles: runflat inserts, heavy-duty wheels and brake systems, protected fuel tanks, vehicle intercoms and red / blue and yellow / white emergency lights.
