ArmourWorks awarded MoD contract
ArmourWorks is proud to announce that on 27 February DE&S awarded ArmourWorks International Ltd with an order for ballistic rocket pod armour for the UK Apache AH Mk1. Delivery will commence in approximately five weeks.
GDLS Foxhound project
More than 300 Foxhounds are already in service with the army, and ArmourWorks are delighted to be a part of this project. Supplying both driver/commander seats and troop seats, ArmourWorks adds further protection to the soldiers in the event of a blast.
We work closely with our customers to create a product that meets their exact requirements using our modified Off-The-Shelf seats. If you would like to know more about our Blast Attenuating EA TECH seating range, please do not hesitate to contact us.
ArmourWorks are expanding
Not only do we have an in-house R&D Centre, but we are now excited to announce our Aerospace and and Defence Composites Centre. This building is directly opposite our current facility, which will make it easily accessible to all staff and visitors. This site is home to our large manufacturing machinery including a Waterjet Cutter and a large composite oven. This will contribute to ArmourWorks’ already well-established capability.
Other recent news
Research scientist Dr Lee PhD has recently joined the ArmourWorks team. For the past 16 years, Dr Lee has been developing new concepts in materials to defeat threats from gun and explosive munitions, with particular regard to reducing mass and cost for the same level of protection. We look forward to the company’s future within ballistic and blast armour engineering.
