JECLconnect™ – Every Warfighter’s Gateway

One of the challenges associated with Joint All Domain Command & Control (JADC2) in support of Multi-Domain Operations is distributing information in various formats over different carrier networks. Gateways have and will play a pivotal role in enabling the exchange of critical C2 information like Situational Awareness, Intelligence, Targeting and Fires data. Traditionally, these gateways are a combination of hardware and software deployed at different echelons and information crossroads of the joint and combined battlespace. Stauder Technologies has now added an organic gateway capability to its Joint Effects Coordination Link (JECL®) middleware, enabling any node on the battlefield to act as a gateway.

JECL® is a set of communications and system integration middleware software services that can run on Linux, Windows, and Android. It is embedded with multiple Battlefield Management Applications like TAK, APASS, SitaWare, and Torch. JECL® supports operators like JTACs and JFOs at the tactical edge engaged in Digital Fires, but it also supports higher echelon Tactical Operations Centers, Fires Cells, TACPs or Air Officers. With the newly added JECLconnectTM Gateway capability now every node on the battlefield that employs JECL® can be a gateway and aid in facilitating JADC2 information flow.

JECLconnect™ Gateway enables automated exchange and forwarding of different Tactical Datalinks (TDL), such as Link-16 (Platform-J and JREAP-C), VMF (multiple revisions, over Combat Net Radio and IP networks), and Cursor on Target (CoT). Whether running on a Windows laptop in a TOC, embedded Linux systems on vehicles or on a tactical Android device, the gateway is easy to configure and monitor using an intuitive Web-based User Interface. If you are already a JECL® user the JECLconnect™ Gateway is embedded with your version of JECL® and ready for use. For more information, contact Stauder Technologies.
