Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (Marshall ADG) is focusing on its core skills as a provider of integrated support, prime contracting and systems integration on stand number S3-310 during DSEI, being held at the Excel Centre London from 10 – 13 September 2013.
These skills are being discussed not only on Marshall ADG’s main stand but also in the newly established medical and disaster relief zone on stand N8-287, where one of the company’s Queens Award-winning CT scanners is on display, and on the Lockheed Martin stand, number N10-490, where a tactical shelter, which forms part of the UK’s future deployable geospatial (FDG) intelligence system, is on display.
In addition to these skills, Marshall ADG’s vehicle survivability joint venture company, Lorica, is on stand number S4-131. Its advanced armour and survivability systems for the land, air and naval domains use versatile material and product capabilities ranging from metal composites to ceramic armours and active protection systems. Its solutions are designed for wheeled and tracked vehicle systems as well as air and maritime platforms.

The CT scanner features the Philips Brilliance CT 64 scanner, providing medical teams deployed anywhere in the world with a full body CT scan capability much earlier in the care chain. This will lead to even more effective patient treatment and potentially increased levels of survival.
FDG provides soldiers with field deployable GEOINT exploitation and map production capabilities to support strategic to tactical level operations. It will enable commanders to dynamically and rapidly brief and equip their frontline troops for operations with up-to-date, customised and digital GEOINT.
Using its skills in vehicle integration, Marshall is involved along with a number of other UK companies as part of Team Socrates, in the integration of systems into a box body fitted to the back of a MOWAG Duro II vehicle. FDG will deliver a two-man, deployable, self-contained working environment which enables analysis and map printing to be carried out in a deployed environment.
