Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Company (NYSE:CR), has been selected as a key supplier for Deutsche Aircraft’s D328eco regional turboprop. Crane A&E will supply the eco-friendly aircraft with a Mark V brake-by-wire brake control system solution.
Crane A&E’s latest evolution of its Mark V brake control system offers integrated functionality such as Brake Temperature Monitoring and Autobrakes, along with the most efficient braking performance under all landing conditions. The Autobrake function will be selected utilizing a digital interface to provide safe, automatic brake pressure application without pilot action. Autobrakes offer various pilot selectable levels of deceleration to provide smoother braking in landing mode operations, reduce pilot workload, and provide added safety in case of emergency operations. Crane A&E’s brake control system also provides for future integration of emergency landing functions such as AutoLand.
“In 1947, our Crane A&E heritage brand introduced the industry’s first antiskid braking system,” said Ryan Sands, Crane Aerospace & Electronics VP/GM, Landing & Control Systems. “Today, Crane A&E’s legacy of innovation continues, and we are proud to supply Deutsche Aircraft’s D328eco, our latest brake control solution. Deutsche Aircraft’s D328eco platform is a key driver in our industry’s path toward zero-emission flights, and we’re pleased to support this transition while also ensuring safe travel with our Mark V brake control system.”
Maximilian Fahr, vice-president of Supply Chain, states: “We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a key player in our industry recognized for innovation, to further enhance the reliability of our supply chain.
