Together with their Spanish partner Tecosa (Siemens Spain), Zeppelin has been awarded in a mobile field hospital tender issued by the Spanish Ministry of Defence.
The hospital is a turn-key project that runs from 2007-2010. The total project value is €27,000,000.
The field hospital is a combination of shelters, tents and supporting infrastructure. The whole hospital will be prepared for the installation of a NBC protection system. This requires a special design of the units in terms of tightness and climatisation.
The hospital fully complies with all relevant NATO and military standards and will support NATO operations all over the world.
