The 2012 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Conference and Exposition will take place on the 22-24 of October, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
DHS Systems LLC, creator and manufacturer of the Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter (DRASH) will display a fully accessorized Large Command Post. The command post will combine two DRASH J Series Shelters, which will together provide approximately 2,500 square ft of useable space.
Within the Large Command Post will be a variety of DRASH Deployable Command and Control Equipment (DC2E). An Extra Large Front Projection System, audiovisual systems, microphone systems, time zone clocks and an Intelligent Data Distribution System (IDDS) will provide visitors with a demonstration of the latest technologies that form a fully functioning tactical operations center.
The Large Command Post system will also feature the latest technologies in energy efficient power production through the DRASH Intelligent Power Technology (IPT) Utility Support Trailer. The IPT is a digitally controlled system that when fielded consists of multiple interconnected generators that form a networked power microgrid.
This microgrid recognizes energy inputs throughout various sections of an operations center and automatically adjusts generators within each section to turn ‘on’ or ‘off’ based on immediate power demands. Although IPT is automatic, the system can be remotely monitored from inside the command post.
Military personnel who are interested in the latest command post and energy efficient technologies should visit the DRASH booth to learn more about Intelligent Power Technology and DC2E product lines.
Conference attendees can also visit the DRASH booth to find out more about additional DRASH innovations to include, XYTEX 500 antimicrobial shelter material, Solar Shade and insulated shelters to increase energy efficiency, as well EMI liners for electromagnetic interference protection. Finally, demonstrations of the DRASH Company Level Command Post can be scheduled.
