Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded computers, renowned for its high-quality beyond industry standard embedded systems, recently announced its determination to become an embedded computing systems provider for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) at edge environments.

By recognizing the requirements of unmanned vehicles computer systems for military and industrial applications, Neousys reinforced its rugged embedded product offerings for IP67 waterproof and dustproof capabilities to handle the harsh and unpredictable operation challenges. The system features Neousys’ expertise on embedded systems design to resolve environmental or climatic factors. Moreover, with its exceptional thermal solution for GPU inference computing and patented SuperCAP UPS power backup technology, the system brings unexpectedly stable edge AI performance to enable intelligent decision-making for safe and efficient operations on unmanned vehicles.

Neousys’ SEMIL, extreme-rugged IP67 rated AI computer system, has been favored by solution integrators ever since official launch. It has been deployed into industrial/ off-highway vehicles and demanding environments, such as mining sites, defense frontlines and on farms. With patented technologies and the assistance of customization services, solution providers successfully integrated SEMIL into heavy equipment for mission-critical tasks. At the same time, the emerging business opportunity for unmanned systems to replace soldiers and workers in hazardous areas by ensuring their safety, is the main driving force for Neousys to develop trustworthy mission-critical computing hardware for vehicle autonomy.

Neousys is currently in the process of developing rugged IP65 rated Intel® 13th/12th-Gen Core i and Intel® Atom® CPU computers with a friendly price tag to deliver seamless operation for unmanned systems in the most demanding edge environments. “Based on past experiences, we understand the requirements of unmanned vehicles and systems, and we wanted to help by providing a reliable rugged solution. We’ll continue to develop extra rugged computers to bring AI power to the edge, to overcome the ever-changing conditions for industrial applications,” said Brian Hsieh, a product manager at Neousys Technology.
