Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems, launched its SEMIL-1300 series. Both SEMIL-1301 and SEMIL-1311J are 2U 19” half-rack extreme-rugged fanless computers that are powered by an Intel® C246 workstation-grade platform to support a Xeon® E or 9th/ 8th-Gen Core™ processor. They are feature-rich with a patented passive thermal design that allows for -40 °C to 70 °C fanless operations and M12 connectors with screw-lock mechanisms. They’re designed to thrive in military defense environments and applications while delivering COTS application availability to dramatically accelerate time to deployment.

Featuring PoE+ functionality to supply 25W of power to connected devices such as IP or GigE cameras; designed with 4G/5G and WiFi5/WiFi6 wireless connectivity ready in mind; support for 8-48V wide-range DC input with ignition power control for in-vehicle use while complying with MIL-STD-810G and EN 50155, the SEMIL-1300 series is ideal for military defense on-field applications such as an unmanned vehicle.

As data protection is vital and an implementation that allows for later retrieval with intact data in modern defense applications is often favored, the Neousys SEMIL-1311J, a SEMIL-1300 series variant, is equipped with Neousys patented SuperCAP UPS. It contains 2500 watt-second energy to protect the collected data and sustain system operations so it can safely shut down during unforeseen power outages. “With Neousys SEMIL system, defense contractors can depend on a feature-rich and technically advanced computer to complement modern defense applications that require mass data computation and swift deployment.”, said Bob Dang, product manager at Neousys.
