Neousys Technology, an industry-leading provider of rugged embedded systems releases one of the world’s first half-rack IP67-rated waterproof fanless computers, the SEMIL-1700. Powered by an Intel® Xeon® or 9th/ 8th-Gen Core™ CPU, C246 chipset and up to 64GB of ECC DDR4 memory with one of the best-in-class thermal designs, their half-rack dimensions make them the ideal computer for various heavy-duty unmanned ground vehicles.

The design of the SEMIL-1700 is intended to meet deployment environment needs with its IP67 rating against high humidity; stainless steel and aluminum chassis to fend off corrosion, MIL-STD-810G certification to operate in continuous shock and vibration environments, and half-rack dimensions that can still be rack mounted side-by-side or with a dedicated bracket. Capable of operating between -25°C and 70°C, it is ideal for a variety of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) that play integral roles in enhancing application performance, efficiency, and safety, including military and civilian sectors. It can undertake multiple missions, including transport, reconnaissance, and rescue with little to no human intervention.

Utilizing robust M12 connectors that are cost-effective, reliable and available off-the-shelf, the SEMIL-1700 offers up to eight 802.3at Gigabit PoE+, VGA, USB, COM ports and an optional 10G Ethernet. Internal expansion wise, SEMIL-1700 features an M.2 slot for NVMe SSD and two internal 2.5″ SATA SSD/ HDD slots. It is compatible with 8-48V wide-range DC input with ignition power control and complies with MIL-STD-810G and EN 50155 to ensure reliable system operation in continuous shock and vibration environments. On top of all the features mentioned, the SEMIL-1714J and SEMIL-1718J systems include a SuperCAP UPS to sustain operation to safely shut down the system during unforeseen power outages.
