Techaya, a leading provider of military-grade Ethernet connectivity solutions, today announced the winning of a tender to provide a leading Ministry of Defense (MoD) with MILTECH 910PoE.
This is a compact, rugged, 8-port, MIL-STD, Power over Ethernet (PoE) gigabit switch. The switch provides data connectivity and power PoE-enabled to moving or stationary platforms operating in extreme and harsh environmental conditions. Applications include cameras, sensors, tactical mobile wireless access points, mobile command posts, mesh nodes, and other devices.
The MILTECH 910PoE is the only military-grade gigabit Ethernet switch on the market that provide extremely high-level power of up to 60 watts per port (Ultra PoE), eliminating the need for additional power sources.
As a result, it can drastically reduce space requirements and wiring complexity usually associated with providing power supply to remote locations or moving platforms.
The MILTECH 910 PoE features ruggedised mechanical packaging. It is built to comply with military standards for airborne and ground environmental compliance and reliability, and has been specially hardened to provide impact and shock / vibration protection.
The switch is compact, yet offers eight triple-speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet ports. The MILTECH 910PoE has advanced network features including virtual local area networks (VLANs), traffic prioritisation (QoS), bandwidth aggregation and dynamic power allocation, allowing for efficient use of power.
