Earlier this year new rules were proposed for government credit card purchases. Section 806 of the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act increases the micropurchase threshold for products purchased by civilian agencies from $3,000 to $10,000.

This follows the increase in 2017 for DoD purchases from $3,500 to $5,000.

While the final rules are still being implemented, some agencies have already increased their micropurchase limit through a FAR class deviation (Civilian Agency Acquisition Council (CAAC) Letter No. 2018-02).

Southwest Antennas is already set up to accept the increased credit card limit on our e-commerce website, over the phone, or through electronically submitted purchase orders.
