Intracom Defense (IDE) has signed a contract with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for the supply of a custom Hybrid Energy Supply System, based on the Hybrid Electric Power Systems (HEPS) technology.
IAI has selected IDE’s HEPS® technology to be incorporated into their Systems, due to its operational advantages related to power autonomy, efficiency and safety.
With this initial 1.2 MEuro contract, IDE will commence deliveries within 2020.
Dr. George Troullinos, the CEO of IDE, stated: “The decision of IAI to utilise our Hybrid Power technology into their Systems is rewarding once more our continuous R&D investment and activities in the defense sector. We envision this to be the beginning of a successful cooperation with IAI.
This development as well as the recent selection of IDE’s proposals for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and the Network-Centric Communications by the European Commission are highlights of the company’s excellence in incorporating engineering innovation and state-of-the-art technologies in defense applications. We continue our long-standing effort exporting advanced systems, contributing also in this way to our country’s economy.”
