Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has launched a new range of low-power ultra-miniature quartz crystal oscillators from Statek designed for use in a wide range of applications, including military communications, battery-operated devices, navigation and GPS, wireless telemetry, hand-held instrumentation, patient monitoring and infusion pumps. Hermetically sealed in a highly reliability 4-pad ceramic surface mount housing, the new oscillator offers fast start-up of 1ms typical, tight calibration tolerance of approximately 25ppm and high-shock resistance of 10,000g typical.
Available at frequencies from 1.0MHz to 8.5MHz and available for operation over the military temperature range from −55°C to 125°C, the new CXOLP series oscillators feature low current consumption of 55µA at 1MHz making them ideal in low power hand-held products. Frequency stability over temperature specifications between 10ppm and 50ppm for commercial (-10°C to 70°C), between 20ppm to 100ppm for industrial (-40°C to 85°C) and from 40ppm to 100ppm for military. Output load is 5pF (CMOS) and supply voltage is 1.8V to 3.3V approximately 10%.
Additional specifications include rise/fall times of 5.5ns and 5.0ns respectively (10% to 90%), duty cycle of 40% minimum and 60% maximum, low ageing of 2ppm in first year and output enable/disable option available. Package size is 3.2mm x 1.5mm x 0.95mm (L x W x D) and the low power oscillators can be supplied in tray pack or on 12mm tape reels (7in or 13in per EIA 481). Maximum process temperature is 260°C for 20 seconds.
