Euroquartz new low-profile differential output

Frequency control specialist Euroquartz has launched a new low profile, differential output crystal oscillator (DFXO) from Statek, designed for use in applications requiring low jitter and ultra-high frequency differential outputs in a small footprint.

Available in frequencies from 20MHz to 300MHz (fundamental mode), the new DFXO is available in standard 6-pad 5mm x 7mm surface mount packages measuring just 1.75mm or 1.85mm high depending on terminations.

Designed for operation over the temperature range -40°C to 105°C, the new Statek DFXO offers low voltage differential signal (LVDS), low voltage positive emitter coupled logic (LVPECL) or complementary metal oxide semiconductor
(CMOS) outputs with low phase noise (-148dBc/Hz at 100kHz) and typical integrated timing jitter of 0.3ps (both for LVDS output).

Frequency stability is ±100ppm over full temperature range (±50ppm over -40°C to 85°C) as standard with tighter tolerances (±25ppm) available to order. A tri-state enable / disable option is also available.

Standard supply voltage is 3.3V ±10% with 2.5V ±10% available, and no external decoupling capacitor is required with optional internal capacitor of 0.01µF. Additional specifications include shock survival of 5,000g (0.3ms, ½ sine) and vibration survival of 20g (10Hz to 2,000Hz swept sine). Ageing is ±5ppm for the first year depending on frequency.

The new Statek DFXO from Euroquartz is supplied in tray packs or tape and reel for surface mount applications with maximum process temperature of 260°C for ten seconds. Applications include military and aerospace avionics, communications and networking.

Euroquartz is an independent, UK-based manufacturer and supplier of quartz crystals, oscillators, filters and frequency-related products to the electronics manufacturing industry worldwide.
