FAUN Trackway USA will be showcasing at the Northern Air Transport Association (NATA) annual conference in Canada between 27-29 April to showcase its suite of aviation solutions.
The firm will be in Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, for the air show at NATA, the representative body for air carriers in northern Canada. The team will be highlighting the dual use of FAUN’s systems, which can be used for civilian, as well as military purpose.
These include the Helicopter Landing Mat (HLM) and Aircraft Landing Mat (ALM), expedient runways in kit form that create temporary landing areas. Both systems were developed for the UK Royal Engineers and can be used as temporarily as required; a complete contingency airstrip that can be laid by an experienced team in less than 24 hours.
1. The HLM and ALM can be a used with a variety of FAUN’s aluminium Trackway panels, which provide ground mobility by interlocking to form runways. From MLC 70 panels that prevent brownout to Palmetto State Armory (PSA) for heavy aircraft and PSA Flat Top for light carriers and UAVs.
FAUN Trackway USA vice-president Mike Holdcraft said: "This is our second year at NATA and we’re looking forward to returning this year.
"Exhibiting at NATA allows us to demonstrate the value of our products for civilian operations and make some valuable introductions to those in the aircraft industry in the region."
Last year, FAUN Trackway USA secured its first sale in Canada after the Hamlet of Kugluktuk, in Nunavut territory, was the first to order FAUN’s Boat Ramp Kit, a unit designed to provide easy passage for entry into waters during extreme weather.
FAUN Trackway will be positioned on stand number four.
