General Cabins and Engineering has 25 years unrivalled experience and expertise with steel enclosures. General Cabins and Engineering has Lloyds Registry certification to manufacture a range of ISO standard shipping and specialised container enclosures. Widths of 8ft, 10ft and 12ft and lengths up to 40ft are standard however wider and longer dimensions can be accommodated as well as multi-stacking with stairways and corridors to meet specific requirements.

Firing ranges

General Cabins and Engineering build firing ranges and shoot-houses to support small-arms training. Ranges can be designed to safely contain all types of small-arms ammunition. Modular construction enables the range to be sized to meet training requirements – three to twelve firing lanes and from 15m to 300m long. They have full HVAC, ballistic and acoustic protection to JSP403 standards and are fitted out with target systems, lighting and range controls to meet client
requirements.

Sectional ISO specification radar equipment enclosure housing state of the art radar equipment, dual fail-safe climate control system, raised anti-static floor and sprinkler system.

ISO built laundry facility for use in worldwide locations with UN Forces. Fully fitted out with washing machines, dryers and air-conditioning and powered with our soundproofed stand alone generator enclosures.

Bomb-proofed security/CCTV sectional control room lined with state of the art materials for bomb blast protection and fully wired for CCTV equipment in lower level with spiral stairway to upper level control room c/w air conditioning system.

25m firing range with four firing lanes featuring high specification ballistic, acoustic and ventilation fit, to achieve rapid training throughput.

Modular training facility fitted internally and externally with gantries and stairwells to facilitate team training.

Secure portable power units

Power units incorporating turn key generator sets fitted into sound proofed steel enclosures to achieve attenuated sound that is acceptable for standby and 24hr running. A range of specifications are available to give you a tailor-made turn-key product for generators up to 2,500kva. We also manufacture UPS units, complete with climate controlled battery rooms and switch gear controls.

Portable freezer units

Designed and manufactured against UN forces’ specifications for deployment in the developing world. Our portable freezer units have been manufactured to the 20ft ISO Lloyd’s Registry standard to enable multiple stacking for shipping and transportation.

High specification insulation materials were integrated into the design to withstand extremely high and low temperatures and to provide a ‘food safe’ internal specification. The freezer equipment is also of the highest standard and comes complete with data logging of daily operational information, maintenance schedules and high/low level alarms.

Towable containers

Units can be manufactured as portable or self-contained towable units, for on and off-road applications. Applications include:

• Fitted kitchen and canteen facilities
• Operations rooms
• Lavatories (mains services or chemical)
• Ablution blocks
• Gas lighting and heating units
• On-board generators
