Thales has signed an industrial cooperation agreement with French VPN solutions provider TheGreenBow to deliver a secure communication solution.

The new solution will be equipped with TheGreenBow’s Windows Enterprise VPN client and Thales’s Gateways IPsec Mistral encryption technology.

The Mistral DR gateways, leveraging TheGreenBow’s VPN client, secure data traffic to and from a remote platform to offer an integrated solution that will enable users to access sensitive networks using any device.

French information security agency ANSSI has certified the latest version for the defence sector and other critical national infrastructure providers. The entities can use the solution to protect their information systems.

Thales Cybersecurity vice-president Pierre Jeanne said: “This partnership will allow Thales and TheGreenBow to offer a cutting-edge cybersecurity solution with the performance needed by critical national infrastructure providers and other economic actors in sensitive sectors in France and internationally.

“It is an illustration of Thales’s ability to integrate third-party solutions with its systems to better meet the needs of its customers and the market at large.”

TheGreenBow CEO Mathieu Isaia said: “With this new [Original Design Manufacturer] ODM partnership, TheGreenBow is continuing its policy of forging alliances to offer the highest possible level of security, performance and quality of service for enterprise networks.”

Last month, Thales signed a contract to deliver four prototype Panoramic Above Armour Gimbal (PAAG) electronic surveillance systems to the German Armed Forces.

The PAAG will provide German Boxer vehicles with long-range ‘Detection, Recognition, Identification’ (DRI) and weapon aiming capability on the move.
