The LVCR observation systems are suitable for target acquisition during day and night operations.

Elbit Systems ISTAR division general manager Elad Aharonson said: “Observation systems are a vital component of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) field. They enable day and night operations under all weather conditions.

“We are proud to have won these contracts, reaffirming Elbit Systems’ position as one of the leading providers of advanced ISR solutions, which are highly adaptable to the needs of the contemporary battlefield.”

Deliveries under the contracts will be carried out for more than one year.

The observation systems will serve all army command levels, ranging from the dismounted soldier to the headquarters command.

Elbit's Spectro XR is an ultra-long-range, day / night, multi-spectral electro-optical ISTAR system that is said to provide a 20in payload performance in a 15-inch payload.

The system can be installed on a variety of platforms, such as rotary and fixed-wing airborne platforms, aerostats, naval vessels and land applications.
