AREX is an internationally established provider of military gear and weapons for defence and security clients.

Based in Slovenia, we provide products to the military and police. The majority of our products come from our own research and development (R&D) department, with certain products in its portfolio having been designed specifically for the business-to-business (B2B) market.

AREX produces various weapon components in accordance with customer specifications.

Military weapons and ammunitions for training applications

AREX’s portfolio includes plastic blank ammunition in small calibres (up to 12.7mm x 99mm), non-lethal ammunition (with rubber bullets) in 9mm x 19mm, 5.56mm x 45mm and 7.62mm x 39mm calibres, as well as M27, M13, M9 and MK 15 ammunition links.

We develop flexible chutes in calibres of 12.7mm × 99mm, and 7.62mm × 51mm.

The REX zero 1 pistol showcases state-of-the-art design and manufacturing processes.

The REX AKB 15 rifle has been designed based on the AK47 rifle.

We also manufacture selected weapons, such as REX zero 1 pistols and AKB 15 rifles, as well as related components.

We also provide tooling for metal cutting and plastic injection moulding. The company is ISO 9001: 2008 certified.

Plastic blank ammunition in small calibres for weapon training

Our small-calibre plastic blank ammunition (up to 12.7mm × 99mm inclusive) is suitable for weapon training applications.

Plastic blank ammunition provides a number of benefits over metal jacket ammunition, including reduced weight, decreased wear and tear of the barrel. In addition, the ammunition cannot visually be confused with real rounds.

Non-lethal ammunition and rubber bullets

AREX produces non-lethal ammunition such as rubber bullets, which have been designed using plastic cases, and soft rubber bullets.

Both enable optimum performance for training and target shooting.

A reduced impact energy assures in-use safety while the cartridge design provides high accuracy.

Bespoke ammunition links

AREX offers ammunition links type M27, M13, M9 and Mk15.

These are produced according to relevant standards and specifications.

Innovative REX zero 1 pistols

Various models of our REX zero 1 pistol with the 9mm × 19mm calibre are suitable for challenging defence applications. Our REX zero 1 pistols are very reliable weapons, passing Nato D14 tests with flawless results.

The REX zero 1 highlights a modern handgun design and advanced manufacturing processes, which eliminate their weaknesses and enhance their advantages by applying our expertise and state-of-the-art computer-aided design (CAD) / computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) processes.

Customisable REX AKB 15 rifles

Currently only available in the 7.62mm × 39mm calibre, the REX AKB 15 rifle has been designed based on the widely used AK47 (Kalashnikov).

The proven platform has been upgraded with a folding and adjustable butt, as well as a front handguard with Picatinny rails for the assembly of tactical add-ons such as lasers, flashlights and handles. An upper monolithic cover with a Picatinny rail is also available to facilitate the assembly of various optics and night-vision components.

As a result, the soldier can adapt his rifle to his own body specifications and necessary mission requirements.
