The Humvee 2-CT SECM vehicle weighs 12,100lb (5,488kg) in all configurations for the US, and 13,500lb in all configurations for international versions. Its US military designation is HMMWV NG-SECM.
It provides seating for two soldiers and is designed with aggressive angles of approach, departure, and ramp breakover.
The vehicle offers high climbing capacity and is equipped with 37 x 12.5R-16.5 tyres, featuring integrated deep water fording with increased capability when fitted with the appropriate kit.
Key features include onboard exportable power from the vehicle’s power system, Nato slave cable, onboard inverter, and commercial off-the-shelf equipment and work tools.
Performance and propulsion
The Humvee 2-CT SECM vehicle is equipped with a V8, 6.5L turbocharged diesel engine delivering 190hp (142kW) at 3,400rpm and 380lb-ft of torque at 1,700rpm. It has a fuel capacity of 25 gallon.
It features a four-speed automatic transmission with a two-speed transfer case. The transfer case has a high gear ratio of 1:1 and a low gear ratio of 2.72:1. It is equipped with hypoid front and rear differentials, each with a 3.08:1 ratio.
The vehicle also boasts a dual voltage system with 14V and 28V configurations.
Payload capabilities
In the US, the Humvee 2-CT SECM vehicle has a payload capacity of 5,100lb for the base vehicle, 5,000lb with the A-Kit, and 3,340lb with both the A-and B-Kits installed.
The international version of the Humvee 2-CT SECM base vehicle weights 6,920lb, 6,220lb with the A-Kit, and 4,560lb with both the A and B-Kits installed.
Equipment installed
The vehicle’s onboard shelter includes equipment for battery service, cutting torches, nitrogen changing, refrigeration service and charging, as well as electric drills, grinders, pneumatic tools, a 24V impact wrench and sockets, and hammers, punches, and chisels.
Additionally, the vehicle also includes mechanical pullers, an air lifting bag, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, a brass fitting kit, tap and die kits, and grounding equipment.

Production of the Humvee 2-CT SECM started in 2023.
