The top five companies accounted for 33% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that RTX filed the most advanced materials patents within the aerospace, defence & security industry in Q1 2024. The company filed 5 advanced materials-related patents in the quarter, compared with 14 in the previous quarter. It was followed by U.S. Department of Defense with 4 advanced materials patent filings, Electricite de France (4 filings), and Airbus (2 filings) in Q1 2024.
