The US Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal has awarded a $2.447bn contract to DynCorp International for the aviation field maintenance directorate (AFMD) in the east region.
Under the one-year contract, the company will provide aviation field maintenance and sustainment level maintenance services for the US Army. The contract has seven one-year options.
Programme management, ground support equipment maintenance and aircraft modifications are included in the contract.
Additionally, DynCorp will provide logistical support to aviation customers across the globe.
The company secured the $1.1bn AFM II West contract last month, which covers regions in the rest of the world. Work under this contract will continue until August 2027.
DynCorp said that the company offered similar services under the Regional Aviation Sustainment Management West Region contract over the past six years.
DynCorp International president Joe Ford said: “The entire DynAviation team is thrilled with the US Army’s decision to award DI AFM East.

In January, the company secured a $41.6m contract to provide aviation maintenance services on the US Army’s Theater Aviation Sustainment Management – Outside Continental United States (TASM-O) contract.
The contract is a six-month extension for the continuation of services in theatre globally.
DynCorp provides aviation, logistics, training, intelligence and operational solutions to commercial, government and military customers.
