Ultra Intelligence & Communications (Ultra I&C) has secured a contract from the Canadian Armed Forces for the deployment of its remote tactical data link management systems (RTDLMS).

The contract, valued at $7m, seeks to bolster Canada’s Tactical Data Link (TDL) infrastructure as part of the Tactical Integrated Command, Control and Communication (TIC3) project.

It will see the deployment of Ultra I&C’s RTDLMS and advanced commercial off-the-shelf components across more than 16 sites in Canada.

This strategic upgrade aims to enhance the nation’s situational awareness and air defence capabilities, aligning with the TIC3 project’s objective to support a Recognised Air Picture (RAP) through Link-16.

RTDLMS is designed to streamline and secure vital TDL communications management. It lowers the necessity for physical access to devices, thereby minimising disruptions to operations.
