The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 19.96% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.29% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.54% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50% in September 2021, registering a 36.84% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25% share, a decrease of 33.33% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 12.5%, registering a 50% rise from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 12.5%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 14.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Thales posted 11 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 8.33% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 7 jobs and a 36.36% drop. The Boeing with 3 IT jobs and Cubic with 1 jobs, recorded a 25% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Rohde & SchwarzKG recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.5%, down by 21.05% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 33.33% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.17% share, down 50% over August 2021.
