The 0.300 Winchester Magnum is a belted, bottlenecked rifle cartridge. It was originally designed by Winchester Repeating Arms Company.

Besides the US military, the ammunition is used by law enforcement departments, hunters and target shooters.

Sig Sauer’s MCX rifles, MPX sub-guns, 716G2 rifles, SP2022 pistols, TANGO6 series riflescopes, suppressors, and various other products and accessories are also used by the US Army.

In July last year, the US Army issued a full-material release (FMR) notification for Sig Sauer’s modular handgun system (MHS) that was developed in conjunction with Winchester Ammunition.
