Science Applications International (SAIC) has secured prime contract positions on the General Services Administration (GSA)’s ASTRO family of contracts to support the US Department of Defence (DoD) and other federal agencies.
The company is said to be among the six firms to win positions in ten separate pools of the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity ASTRO contracts.

The potential ten-year contracts have no ceiling value and encompass a variety of support services related to crewed, uncrewed and optionally crewed platforms, and robotic platforms.
The contract positions will enable SAIC to work across all ten ASTRO pools, each representing a different scope of work.
These pools include data operations, mission operations, space, aviation, ground, maritime, development/systems integration, research, support and training.
In a statement, SAIC said: “The awards provide contract access for the Department of Defence and federal civilian customers to SAIC’s technical expertise and experience in providing a broad array of services to support manned, unmanned and optionally manned systems, robotics and platforms.”
In October 2021, Envistacom secured two prime pool awards on the GSA’s ASTRO contract.
SAIC offers engineering, digital, artificial intelligence, and mission solutions to the defence, space, civilian and intelligence markets.
It is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and has pro forma annual revenues of approximately $7.1bn.
Last year, the company completed the acquisition of Halfaker and Associates for $250m.
The acquisition enables SAIC to develop mission-critical systems for federal government customers.
