By GlobalData“That’s what we do and what we’ve been doing for decades. And Oshkosh’s vast tactical wheeled vehicle (TWV) experience, expertise and know-how grows with every vehicle that comes off our production line.”
After winning the competitive JLTV contract in 2015, the company has built more than 14,000 JLTVs.
In July, Oshkosh Defense received a $152m order to deliver additional JLTVs to the US Army, USMC, USAF, and US Navy.
The JLTVs, which are being distributed throughout the US Army, will serve as a replacement for the high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV).
Oshkosh Defense International Programs vice-president and general manager John Lazar said: “Integrated lethality on an agile and protected vehicle like the Oshkosh JLTV is quickly filling capability gaps that exist in many international militaries.
“This past year, we’ve seen an increased interest in the Oshkosh JLTV from international customers with dynamic demonstrations and live fires across Europe with more planned for 2022.”
