General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) has received a $367m contract from the US Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command to produce and deliver 177 additional double-V hull Stryker vehicles.

Under the contract, the company will provide seven variants of the Stryker vehicles that include a medical evacuation vehicle, engineer squad vehicle, fire support vehicle, commander vehicle, mortar carrier vehicle and anti-tank guided missile vehicle.

The double-V hull provides Stryker-borne soldiers with enhanced protection and survivability from roadside mines and improvised explosive devices.

Work will be performed at the company’s facilities in London, Ontario, Canada; Alabama, Anniston and Ohio, US; and Lima, Peru, with deliveries to be completed by July 2013.

General Dynamics has delivered 300 double-V-hulled Stryker vehicles to date under a separate contract for 450 vehicles awarded in July 2010.
