Quantitative Software Management (QSM) has secured a five-year contract to support US Army software development.
The contract was awarded by the US Army Cost Center under the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cost and Economics (ODASA-CE).

QSM will provide estimation and tracking assistance to help identify and mitigate software programme risk.
It will also work towards obtaining key software inputs, and prepare cost estimates throughout the entire software project lifecycle.
QSM vice-president Joe Madden said: "The US Army and the ODASA-CE are committed to the success of critical software development projects.
"We look forward to continuing our long-term relationship with the army to help evaluate bids, measure feasibility, and provide transparency in the budgeting process."
In 2011, QSM secured a contract to provide US Army ODASA-CE with a comprehensive cost methodology, which included tools, consulting support, and on-site training.
Under the terms of the contract, QSM will provide estimation assistance on major ACAT 1 programmes, as well establish a metrics database with data from the Defense and Cost Research Center (DCARC) and DASA-CE data collection efforts.
Since 2004, QSM claims it has helped the army achieve savings and risk reductions of roughly $750m.
