Patria Helicopters has been contracted to maintain Bell 412 helicopters operated by the Norwegian Armed Forces.
Awarded by the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organisation (NDLO), the €7.1m contract is for four years and includes an option for an additional three years.
The company will perform maintenance of the Bell 412 helicopter fleet, based at Rygge and Bardufoss, Norway, at its facilities in Arlanda, Sweden.
Designed to operate in extreme climates, Bell 412 can be used to transport equipment, crews, troops or patients.
The helicopter has a useful load capability of 5,100lbs and enough space to accommodate up to 14 passengers and one pilot.
Earlier in April, the company secured a NOK100m (€10.7m) contract from NDLO to perform on-aircraft maintenance for the Norwegian NH90 helicopters.
Patria was tasked with performing phase and calendar inspections, associated repairs and maintenance on NH90 NFH Helicopters.
The company provides helicopter life-cycle support covering a full range of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and supply services for helicopters, their components and equipment, as well as helicopter upgrades and modifications.
Patria Helicopters Norway maintains training arcraft fleets for the Norwegian Air Force and civil customers.
The company also performed the final assembly of 29 Finnish and Swedish NH90 helicopters for the Nordic Standard Helicopter Procurement Programme.
