Elbit Systems has secured a contract to supply thermal weapon sights to the Australian Department of Defence (DoD).
Awarded under the framework of project LAND 125 Phase 3c, the contract will see the company supply XACTth65 sights to the Australian Defence Forces (ADF).

The LAND 125 Phase 3C – Soldier Enhancement Version 2 – Lethality project provides the ADF with a new Austeyr F88 rifle and advanced ancillary devices to improve effectiveness for soldiers involved in close combat.
Work under the contract is expected to be performed at the company’s facility in Australia, over a two-year period.
Elbit Systems president and CEO Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis said: "Australia is a very important market for Elbit Systems, and we are very proud to be awarded this contract, bringing this new capability and introducing technologically advanced, battle proven and networked solutions to the Australian Defence Force."
