DynCorp International (DI) has been awarded a task order by the US Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC) to provide aviation support to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment – Airborne (SOAR-A) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, US.
Under the contract, more than 300 DI team members will be deployed to provide field and sustainment level maintenance on aircraft and subsystems, as well as aviation support systems and logistics.
The company has been providing aviation services to the 160th regiment from its inception in the early 1980s until 2010. The task order was awarded under the contract field teams (CFT) to DI.
The competitively-awarded task order, under the CFT indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract comes with a base period of performance of eight months with two, one-year options.
It has a total value of $54.5m should all options be exercised with work on the contract to be carried out at Fort Campbell.
