Comtech Systems has received a contract to provide a modular transportable troposcatter system (MTTS) for the US Army’s Warfighter Information Network – Tactical Programme (WIN-T).
Comtech Telecommunications president and CEO Fred Kornberg said the MTTS provides high-bandwidth communications that are easily deployable and delivers mission-critical bandwidth to the battlefield.
The MTTS system is equipped with a CS6716A digital troposcatter modem that provides Ethernet-based connectivity and turbo code forward error-correction.
The system provides the war-fighter with increased throughput capacity, mission-critical surveillance, situational awareness and real-time data in remote, infrastructure-challenged locations.
