BAE Systems has secured a $100m contract to provide technical and other support services to the US Army’s 116th Military Intelligence Brigade (MIB).
The four-year contract was awarded by the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

As part of the contract, the company will help the 116th MIB in improving the situational awareness of troops around the world by combining geospatial, sensor and other types of information into actionable intelligence.
BAE Systems Global Analysis and Operations vice-president and general manager Duncan Greene said: “Our team will play an important role in processing, analysing, and visualizing key data that helps drive operations on the ground and positions the US military for mission success.”
A team of experts and analysts from BAE Systems will support INSCOM’s Aerial Reconnaissance Surveillance Team contract.
It will assist the army with the collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, and dissemination of full-motion video and other intelligence data used for mission planning and in support of training operations.
The 116th MIB is responsible for conducting 24/7 tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination and feedback operations of multiple organic and joint intelligence aerial-intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (A-ISR) missions collected in overseas contingency areas of operation.
INSCOM is involved in operational intelligence and security forces, conducting multi-discipline and all-source intelligence and security operations, and delivering specialised capabilities for army, joint, and coalition commands and the US intelligence community.
