The Australian Army’s Operational Airworthiness Authority (OAA) has given clearance for CH-47D Chinook fleet flight operations.
The OAA chief of army, lieutenant general David Morrison, has lifted the precautionary suspension following a thorough investigation and consultation with experts from the US Army and Boeing.

The Australian Army had grounded its Chinook fleet following a problem with one of the aircraft’s Advanced Flight Control System (AFCS) last month.
Brigadier Neil Turton, director general aviation, said: "The CH-47D suspension that was put in place has now been lifted and all flying operations have now resumed."
The army operates five CH-47D Chinook helicopters, two of which were deployed to Afghanistan.
