The US Army has awarded multiple contracts to Arotech Corporation’s Training and Simulation Division (ATSD), which provides consulting and developmental support for engineering simulation solutions.
Valued at $7.4m, the contracts include a $1.7m contract modification to the original virtual clearance training suite (VCTS) programme contract awarded in 2014. The also include an approximately $1m contract for its transit and public safety driving simulators.
Arotech Training and Simulation Division president Kurt Flosky said: "We continue to evolve and expand the capabilities our current products while innovating new solutions.
"These awards demonstrate our ability to support the expanding training and simulation needs of our current users while we successfully add new clients."
Arotech president and CEO Steven Esses said: "Arotech continues to benefit from the performance of its Training and Simulation division, which provides a solid foundation to support our corporate growth strategy."
The company’s vehicle simulator technology is expected to facilitate training on situational awareness, risk analysis, decision-making, emergency reaction and avoidance procedures, conscientious equipment operation, and crew coordination.
