The Canadian Army could receive Firefinder or Sentinel radars from the US under a $377m foreign military sale.
Canada has requested ten enhanced Firefinder radars or ten Sentinel radars, and ten single-channel ground and airborne radio system vehicular dual long-range system radios.
The proposed sale also includes ten Sentinel 11521A high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles, ten AN/TPX 57 identification friend or foe systems, trailers, generators, repair and test equipment, training and logistics support.
Prime contractors for the supply of military communications equipment will include Thales Raytheon Systems and Lockheed Martin.
