The Indian Army is to induct new-generation gadgets including micro audio bugs and video devices to detect and track terrorist activities.
Army officials said that possible nano-technology applications include micro-audio bugs and video recording devices with high-capacity data storage to trace terrorists, according to The Hindu.
According to army officials, nano-size air and ground sensors could also be placed in specific areas to monitor the militants’ activities.
The Indian Army also expects to use micro-sized energy devices as lightweight power sources for man-portable radars, and allow missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles to operate in remote areas.
