The US Army National Guard is to receive Polaris Ranger 800 Crew vehicles from Polaris Defense.
The $2.4m purchase will support disaster relief missions conducted by the Army National Guard in the US and abroad.
Polaris Defense managing director Mark McCormick said the all-wheel drive, multipassenger, off-road vehicles provided a cost-effective capability well-suited for the demands of the national guard.
The 2010 Ranger 800 Crew features an adjustable dual A-arm front suspension and a smooth independent rear suspension, which provides motion ration adjustability on all six wheels.
The new suspension on the side-by-side vehicle allows for the maintenance of ground clearance and suspension travel while travelling with greater payloads and while using accessories.
In addition, the Ranger 800 Crew offers anti-kickback steering, high payload and towing, ease of attaching accessories and capacity to carry six people.
