Following the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai the Indian government has announced that it has deployed the Warrior satellite monitoring and surveillance system to cover the sub-continent region.
The satellite provided by Antenna Technology Communications is designed to fit the requirements of government and militaries and provides complete observation for satellite activities over 140°.
The satellite also allows the operator an in-depth view of not only the spectrum usage / geo-location issues involved in satellite carriage, but also the ability to manage, control, and archive the data, voice and video content being carried on any given satellite on any given transponder in its viewing arc simultaneously.
ATCi’s CEO, Gary Hatch said that there had been a heightened requisite for intensive monitoring and surveillance for anything in India’s sky following the recent terror alert.
“Implementing surveillance and monitoring systems for the Indian Defence Network was a sensible progression. However, it is not enough to simply monitor FSS satellites, today’s surveillance must also have the ability to associate and provide critical algorithm patterning data which can ultimately process and associate unlimited IP data, thereby delivering greater security,” Hatch said.
The satellite is also equipped with proprietary search and retrieval technology, which loads information into an interlinked network of IP storage servers immediately, which allows for important decisions to be made quickly.
