The UK’s Serious Fraud Office is to reinterview BAE Systems executives in an ongoing investigation into corruption.
The second series of interviews with the executives will look at evidence uncovered in the SFO’s investigation into allegations of corruption in Romania, the Czech Republic, Tanzania and South Africa, the UK’s Sunday Telegraph newspaper reported.
Last year the SFO’s investigation into bribery allegations in Saudi Arabia was dropped after the UK Government said it would damage relations with Saudi Arabia and harm national security.
BAE Systems is also being investigated over allegations of non-compliance with anti-corruption laws by the US Department of Justice.
The firm is facing allegations of making illegal payments in order to help it win plane and military equipment contracts from Saudi Arabia, in the 1980s.
