The Nato-led Operation Unified Protector in Libya could be concluded soon, Nato Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said.
“When we assess that the threat is over for good, we will conclude Operation Unified Protector. I cannot give a precise date – but I believe it will come soon,” he added.
RIA Novosti also reported the secretary general as saying that Nato and its partners will be ready to help UN in supporting the Libyan people.
The UN Security Council imposed a no-fly zone over Libya allowing all necessary measures, which is jointly conducted by the US, UK and France, to protect civilians from Gaddafi’s attacks.
