Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has delivered the new MiniPOP lightweight EO/IR sights for installation on the Czech Army infantry fighting vehicle, KBVP Pandur.
The new system will be equipped on the remote-controlled weapons station (RCWS) of the vehicle, which will be operated by the army in Afghanistan.
The MiniPOP is an advanced, lightweight, observation and targeting payload for airborne, land and maritime applications.
The system features a thermal imager, a CCD camera, a laser rangefinder and a laser pointer.
Each turret can be equipped with two MiniPOP systems. One can be used as the commander sight and the other as the gunner sight.
