Russia has offered a mid-term military cooperation plan to Nato for a period of three to five years, Russian chief of general staff Nikolai Makarov has said.
“This approach will help define exactly what we want to achieve as a result of our cooperation. This will enable us to look beyond the horizon,” he added.
Makarov also added that, “corresponding instructions have already been issued to military representatives of the Nato-Russia Council.”
As part of the Russian-Nato cooperation, a 12-day exercise entitled Bold Monarch 11 will be held in June this year.
About 2,000 military and non-military personnel from over 20 countries will participate in the exercise, according to RIA Novosti.
