AM General has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract by the US Army for the procurement of high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWV).
Under the $546.4m contract, the company will provide 2,845 HMMWV vehicles.

The HMMWV or Humvee, is a four-wheeled military motor vehicle that serves as a cargo / troop carrier, automatic weapons platform and ambulance.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Indiana, US, with an estimated completion date of 31 January 2012.
