Oshkosh Corporation has been awarded a contract by the US Army to provide underbody improvement kits for its mine-resistant ambush-protected all-terrain vehicle (M-ATV).
Under the $101.9m, firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, Oshkosh will provide 2,080 kits to support the MRAP programme.
The M-ATV is a high-mobility, high-protection medium tactical vehicle specifically designed to be able to carry out missions in unsafe environments.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Wisconsin, US, and is expected to be complete by 31 May 2012.
The US Army TACOM LCMC will be the contracting activity.
