Nasmyth Group has secured a contract, from Stockport-based WFEL, to supply key components for British Boxer mechanised infantry vehicles (MIVs).
The company has signed a ten-year long-term supply agreement with WFEL to provide precision machined and fabricated components for the armoured combat vehicles.
In a statement, Nasmyth Group said: “This contract win highlights Nasmyth Group’s further commitment and success in the defence sector.”
The Boxer MIV is a highly mobile, wheeled armoured combat vehicle that can be used for a variety of missions including personnel transportation, and as a mobile medical facility.
The British Army will procure more than 500 Boxer vehicles in different variants such as infantry carriers, specialist carriers, command vehicles, and ambulances.
WFEL is working as a key partner in delivering the vehicles to the British Army.
