The US Army has awarded a $112m prime contract to global science and technology provider Leidos to continue delivering logistics services to the 1st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC).
Under the follow-on deal, the company will provide the services to the 1st TSC in support of the US Army Central (ARCENT), the army component of the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The new single-award cost-plus fixed-fee, incentive-fee contract has a one-year base performance period and five one-year options.
Leidos Defense and Intelligence president Tim Reardon said: “We look forward to continuing to support the warfighter with a trusted, engaged and responsive programme team with the ability to rapidly adapt to emerging requirements.”
Work on the project will be carried out in Kuwait.
Under the contract, Leidos will provide the US Army with resilient mission logistics services to enable receipt, storage, maintenance, issue, and distribution of ammunition.

The company is a spin-off of the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
Since 2011, it has been supporting munitions storage and resupply efforts by operating the 1st TSC’s Theater Storage Area and Ammunition Supply Point activities, including accountability for and distribution of ammunition stocks.
